Condition Requirements

Bed frames should be sturdy with all slats, bolts, and fittings present — a wobbly or incomplete frame is hard for us to take. Upholstered headboards should be free of major stains or tears. Mattresses must be clean, free of stains and odours, with no sagging or broken springs; for hygiene reasons, we can only accept mattresses that are genuinely in good, clean condition.

• Size — queen and king beds are typically in strongest demand.
• Frame material — solid wood and quality upholstered frames hold value well.
• Brand — recognised mattress and bed brands value higher.
• Condition — scratches on frames and wear on mattresses reduce the offer.

Collection

Beds usually need to be dismantled for transport. Contact us to discuss dismantling and collection arrangements before pickup — we’ll agree on what needs to come apart and what tools or help may be needed. Please keep all bolts, slats, and fittings together so nothing goes missing.

Do you buy mattresses on their own?

Yes, if they’re clean and in good condition. Mattresses with stains, sagging, or odours are something we usually can’t accept.

Will you buy a bed without a mattress, or a mattress without a bed?

Either is fine. We buy complete sets as well as frames, headboards, and mattresses separately.

Do you dismantle the bed for collection?

We’ll discuss dismantling with you when arranging collection — many beds come apart easily, and we’ll plan it together beforehand.
